How to make a claim

  1. 1

    Message Yango support

Message support in the app within 24 hours, even if your documents aren’t ready. Include your order ID and what happened, when and where.

  2. 2

    UAIL contacts you

Support sends the verified incident details to the insurer, United Ajod Insurance Limited (UAIL), which contacts you for the claim documents.

  3. 3

    Receive the decision

UAIL assesses the claim and, if approved, pays the settlement after receiving your signed settlement form.

Documents for your claim

After you contact Yango support, UAIL will get in touch to request your documents. Send them directly to UAIL within 7–14 days of the incident.

UAIL will also request a completed claim form and any other evidence needed to assess your claim. For repaired items, this includes the repair quotation and VAT bill.

Questions and conditions

How is my payout worked out?

UAIL assesses the covered loss, up to the value you entered for your parcel or NPR 10,000, whichever is lower. It then subtracts 5% of the parcel’s declared value, with a minimum deduction of NPR 100.

Example. For a parcel valued at NPR 10,000, an approved claim of NPR 10,000 would pay NPR 9,500 after a NPR 500 deduction.*

Do I need a police report?

Yes. UAIL requires a police report for every claim, including small losses. Contact Yango support within 24 hours; you do not need to wait for a police report to notify support. UAIL will then contact you for the claim documents.

What if I don’t have an invoice?

UAIL can assess the item using its description, the value entered in the app, and supporting photos, chats or order details. It uses the lower of the declared value and its reasonable estimate of the item’s market value, before deductions and policy limits.

Who receives my claim documents?

Send them directly to UAIL. Yango support verifies the delivery and passes the incident details to the insurer; UAIL requests the documents, assesses the claim and handles payment.

How long does payment take?

Once assessment is complete, UAIL issues a settlement form within three working days. After receiving your signed form, it transfers the approved payment within three working days.

What’s not covered?
  • Offline, private or unrecorded deliveries, or delivery in a vehicle other than the one booked
